THREE MONTHS IN ADELAIDE

I totally unexpected that because after escaping from the lockdown in July 2021 while I was living in Melbourne, just after my birthday I thought that I could could go back to Melbourne and everything was going normal, so even if there were few restrictions and the city still an hotspot I didn’t care about it and I just went back more than happy to work again but unfortunately the restrictions did lift when I expected and after few days actually an other lockdown suddenly was announced which I couldn’t even go to get my stuff at the club and nothing. I had a big depression week this was my sixth lockdown since I’m in Australia but anyway I decided to stay a bit long and keep trying to work in Australia. It was a very hard situation because they granted me the visa till February and than in Italy my mum didn’t wanted to do the vaccine so she could’t go to work and I was thinking to stay longer in Australia so I could help her in case she can’t work. 

So I contacted again the guy that is running the pet transport company that I went with him to Sydney during the first lockdown in Melbourne in June and I asked them when there were going to Adelaide and I had to wait one week in Melb so I decided to wait a bit do a week of lockdown and then move to Adelaide and trying to stay longer in Australia, and I want to try to get more money before leaving Australia. It was very hard find the energy again to keep going move again, new city, new people, it was very hard because I really wanted to stay in Melbourne but I had to do it I had no choice. During the time in Adelaide I was very lucky I could enjoyed it if I wanted but I wasn’t good with my metal health. I arrived in Adelaide on the 16 of August the day after at stated to work again at the club and the week later I met Jemma an Australian girl that she used to work in Melbourne and we discovered to have few mutual friends and she invested me to go to live with her instead of staying at the hostel. She was very lovely she never asked me to pay the rent so I was trying to help her buying food and alcohol and I moved to here house on the 31st of August.

WEEK from 16.08 to 22.08

I woke up at 5:30 am and at 6 am the come to pick me up in the hostel Glenn and an other guy from Brazil the journey was pretty bad honestly but well I had no choice so I did it. I arrived in Adelaide around 8 pm I ordered a bit of food and then I called my mum I did the check in at the YHA Hostel which I already stayed there in the past. Tuesday I did a bit of groceries and I got ready to worked from Tuesday to Sunday every day it was pretty hard but I need it and I really wanted.

WEEK from 23.08 to 29.08

Monday I stayed at home I just basically relaxed and sleep all day then Tuesday morning I went to the dentist and and in the evening I went to work as usual till Saturday but actually I was feeling pretty bad because my tooth started to hurt a lot so I was taking a lot of Panadol and shit like this and drinking a lot on this. Sunday I slept a bit and then in the evening I went to Glenelg chill out on the beach even if it was very windy and cold so than I ordered a pizza and I come back in the Hostel, I called my mum in Italy and I went to sleep.

WEEK from 30.08 to 05.09

I worked Monday night and it was really quiet and then Tuesday I stayed in the bed all day and than in the noon I moved to Jemma’s house, she comes to pick s me up at the YHA Hostel and she bring me to her house where we had a dinner together and we spent all night talking together and drinking Whiskey till late. Wednesday we went to the markets together and we drink and did few jobs in the house together and in the evening we went also to work together it was a really nice day. and than I worked from Wednesday till Saturday every night and during the day doing not much just groceries ad random things with Jemma and by myself as well. Sunday we picked up my luggage’s from Melbourne with Jemma at the YHA the she went to her boyfriend house and I did a bit of groceries in the city and I spent the night at home chill and relaxing by myself calling my mum in Italy.

WEEK from 06.09 to 12.09

Monday I woke up early I spent all day by myself arranging my stuff and than in the evening I went to the Jemma’s parents for dinner it was a very lovely night her mum she’s amazing I liked her a lot. Tuesday and Wednesday night I worked than Thursday I went to Glenelg with Jemma for few drinks since the weather was very lovely it looks like almost summer. In the evening at 6 pm interview at The Palace and then work, Friday Saturday work and then Sunday night work at The Firm.

WEEK from 13.09 to 19.09

Monday I slept all day and then in the evening I called my mum and later in the night I watched the L World till late. Tuesday I went out for lunch with Peri which is my colleague that I totally fell in love with. I still remember her when I went in for the first time in March but well at the time my head was somewhere else, than I saw her the Monday in July when I worked one Monday night at the club, and now that I’m back in Adelaide few weeks that we are working together I finally took the courage to ask her to go out together. We supposed to see each other yesterday night but she opted for a lunch today at Leisurely Coffee which it went well actually we talked a lot after lunch she took me at East End Cellar to try few local wine which I liked them and after she drove me home, I was very happy and I thought that it could work. Then I decided to stay home and I had the dinner with Jemma her mum her boyfriend, that was the first time that her mum met her boyfriend. Wednesday I went with Jemma to Glenelg again that the weather was amazing we had lunch at Stamford Grand Adelaide and than we went to work together in the evening but before work I went to Crybaby with Jemma and Peri than to work by 8 pm. I worked till Sunday which I did Sunday at The Firm because the Crazy Horse is closed.

WEEK from 20.09 to 26.09

Monday I stayed at home all day I had a lunch with Jemma and then in the evening I called my mum and I relax all evening. Tuesday I stayed with Jemma with did a bit of groceries a bit of shopping and in the noon I went for a drink at the Intercontinental by myself because Jemma was working and I could have two days off because I was very tired during that period, I was drinking a lot and always hangover. Wednesday I did the fillers and Botox at the clinic where Jemma works during the day and is run by her step father, then I went to work at 7 pm. Thursday I slept then I went for drinks with Quinn at Crybaby and at Maybe Mae then work together. So it was kind of a weird situation as usual to me, I liked her she likes me but we couldn’t really understand what we were, friends colleague or whatever but this situation was okay for me because we were working all the time together and at that time I needed someone always with me honestly. Friday home and work, Saturday I went to the house of Sophia one of my colleague and other girls for a drink which it was very nice then work. Sunday work again at The Firm.

WEEK from 27.09 to 03.10

Monday I stayed home then in the evening I went out for a date at Heinz&Co then she come over to my house she slept at mine at than in the morning she left early and later I went for lunch with Peri at Part Time Lover it was a really lovely place then she brings me back home and in the evening I went out for a dinner with Jemma her mum and her boyfriend at Borsa. Wednesday work with Jemma then Thursday drinks at Cry Baby with Peri before work and one more drink in an other bar and than we went to work together. Friday I went for dinner at 5:30 pm with Peri at Mexican Society than in the city for other drinks and then work together. Than work Saturday and Sunday at the Crazy horse but unfortunately Sunday I wasn’t feeling very well and I had to go home earlier.

WEEK from 04.10 to 10.10

Monday home resting, call my mum and relax. Tuesday groceries and home all evening by myself since Jemma went to her boyfriend house. Wednesday lunch with Peri at 12:30 pm at Joe’s Henley Beach, we had lunch walked along the beach a little bit and then we had a drink, after that I had to go to the clinic of the father of Jemma to check my filler / botox job and later we had an aperitifs at home with Sophia and Jemma and than we went to work together. I worked till Saturday and than Sunday I stayed at home chilling and relaxing since I wasn’t feeling very well the past week.

WEEK from 11.10 to 17.10

Monday in the morning I went to the city buy some food and I east something with Barbara and enjoy the day light a bit then in the evening one of my colleague asked me to cover her so I went to work. Tuesday I went out for drinks with Peri at 2KW before work than we spent the night at work together and after work we went to the Casino for drinks. It went really bad because she told me that she choose the guy that she’s seeing instead of me because I don’t give her stability so we could be only friends and for me was very hard I spent all the night crying, in the period in Adelaide I was very vulnerable. Wednesday I went to work and she cancelled so I didn’t see her which was kind of good and than Thursday I went out with Peri before work for drinks at Cry Baby and than we worked together as well. Friday I worked and Saturday I went to the theatre Shedley with Jemma a friend of her and Barbara one of my Brazilian colleague, we watched The Little Mermaid and than we went to work. Sunday was my day off so I decided to go out alone and treat myself instead of staying home and get depressed so I went out for a dinner at the ITL restaurant at the Casino.

WEEK from 18.10 to 24.10

Monday morning I’ve decided to go out for lunch at Treasury 1860 which is really nice and relaxing and than I did a bit of groceries and than I stayed at home. Tuesday at 5 pm I did a photoshoot in the club and than at 6:30 pm I went to the 2kw for drinks with Peri and then Bank Street Social for one more drink and than at work we did a break and we went to Shotgun Willies so we spent all the night together basically. Wednesday I worked as well but I got very drunk so I had to cancel Thursday that I went to have a dinner at the Mum’s of Jemma house with her boyfriend as well. Friday I went for drinks at Hennessy with Peri and than at Shotgun Willies for an other drink and then we went to work together. Saturday I worked and it was my last night but I didn’t’t say anything to anyone I couldn’t do an other good bye it’s always so hard and I was so vulnerable at that time. Sunday I took a bit of space for myself to enjoy the last days in Adelaide and I went to the Oyster Bar Oldest Shores in Glenelg to enjoy the ocean and the nice weather. 

WEEK from 25.10 to 31.10

Monday home with Jemma we had dinner together than we played Uno and than she went to her boyfriend place and I went to sleep. Tuesday the weather was amazing so I went to Barbara house and than she drove to the went beach where we spent all the day there, talking and taking the sun then we went to Stella Restaurant where we had few drinks and we eat a bit, mine while I match on tinder the waitress of the club that she’s always very nice to me and I invite her to my home so me and Barbara we keep drink at my place with her as well and than Barbara left and I stay with Aisha playing Uno all night, than she went home to her place. Wednesday I woke up a bit in hangover so after lunch I went for drinks with Jemma at Exeter Hotel and then we decided to go the a strip club together at Pole Position and than we went to work. Thursday I went for drinks with Peri at Shotgun Willies and during work we did a bit of break and we went to drink something at Cry Baby because the Club was very empty. Friday and Saturday I worked and than Sunday I chilled at home by myself and I organised everything for Darwin because finally I’ve decided to leave Adelaide I wanted for long time, but I couldn’t go back to Melb due to the Covid passport so I had to take more time and think about something and I need a little break from my job as well.

Monday – 01.11.2021

I woke up around 11 am, Barbara comes to my house and we went to the city she had to do few shopping and I did the breakfast and I stayed with her for the shopping then we come back to my house and we went to the West Beach to enjoy the summer and take the sun after a bit also Elise arrived and we spent the noon all three together eating get tan and talking was really relaxing. For the evening Jemma organise a night out for my farewell and we went to the Golden Boy for dinner me her, her boyfriend, Barbara and her boyfriend it was really nice. Thailand food I really enjoyed and then me Jemma and her boyfriend we went to Grace Emily Hotel to watch live music and drink a bit together before coming back home.

Tuesday – 02.11.2021

I clean the house and prepare everything to leave I was hoping that Quinn texted me to see me for lunch to say goodbye to me but it didn’t happened so I just order food for myself at home and then at 4 pm I met Natalia and Thabata that we went out for a drink Cumberland Arms Hotel and then we got invited randomly in a private function at The Gallery which we had few drinks there and then the come to my house were there was Jemma her boyfriend and her mum where I ordered pizza for everyone and we spent the evening drinking together and then we said good bye it was very hard I cried and Jemma as well, she was really nice with me all the time and she host me in her house three month for free really generous girls I will appreciate that forever. The good byes are always too hard for me I thought that one day I could get used to it but no is always hard say goodbye to someone.

Wednesday – 03.11.2021

I woke up at 5 am I clean better my room and I get ready to call an Uber to go to the airport to catch my flight at 6:45 am to go to Darwin for holiday. The morning didn’t start that well first Uber when he saw me out of the house with the luggage cancel my ride and then at the airport my luggage were exceeding kg so I had to pay 150$ extra. After those two things everything went well I arrived in Darwin safe.
