Japan 2023

I decide to go to Japan one day when I was in Darwin I randomly like I was trying to figured out where I could go after NZ and everywhere in the island in January is like rain season and upper is winter so I just checked for Japan the flight were quite cheap so I booked it Noumea to Narita.
DAY 1 – Monday 23.01.23

I had my flight to Japan from Nuomea with Aircalin at 1:05 am in the morning so I spent the night on the plane it was good the plane was big and I had none next to so I could sleep and they give dinner and breakfast. I landed in Narita at 8 am and then I went to the hostel I dropped off my luggage and I went to Giza to do some shopping for winter since I’ve got only summer close. Then I went to Senso Ji temple, it was very cold but the city very lovely, I passed by Nakamise dori street exploring all the district of Asakusa. Then I went back to the hostel to sleep very tired from the travel.
DAY 2 – Tuesday 24.01.23

I woke up early and I went for breakfast at Denny’s which is a Japanese restaurant real close by the hostel. Then I took the train to Teamlab planet museum with lights it was a very nice experience totally liked it. After I walked to Toyosu fish market but it seems all closed unfortunately. Than in the noon after having lunch at McDonald’s I went to Harajuku district walking Takeshita street (This narrow street is the epicentre of Tokyo’s youth culture and is full of boutique shops, cafes, fast food joints, and all the things teenagers love) than, Shibuya district and crossing and than back in the hostel area for dinner at Sukiya and than sleep.
DAY 3 – Wednesday 25.01.23

( Mount Fuji, Japan )
Experience the most famous sightseeing spots around Mount Fuji. Learn about Japanese history and culture while soaking in the dramatic views around Mount Fuji. Depart from Tokyo by bus and arrive at Kawaguchiko Oishi Park where you can capture beautiful photos with lake Kawaguchi and Mount Fuji in the background. Continue to Arakura Sengen Park, located halfway up Mount Arakura in Fujiyoshida in the Yamanashi Prefecture.
Take in the panoramic views of the city with Mount Fuji in the background and admire the cherry blossoms. Head to Oshino Hakkai, one of the most famous spots in the Fujisan area, and see the 8 different lakes located there. Taste the water from Mount Fuji. Explore Gotemba Premium Outlets (for tours before the end of April 2023) with plenty of time to shop in Gotemba City and enjoy beautiful views of Mt. Fuji. For tours that take place from May onwards, you will instead visit the 5th Station of Mount Fuji before being dropped back in Shinjuku Subaru. After the tour I chilled at Starbucks and than I went to visit Omoide Yokocho, Rappongi, and than I grab a sushi in a supermarket and I went back to the hostel at 8:30 pm to sleep.
DAY 4 – Thursday 26.01.23

Woke up early had breakfast again at Danny’s made the plan for the day and then I took the train to the Ueno Park which it was very nice and sunny day luckily. Then I explore Akihabara ( This area was named after Akiba, a deity that can control fires. After a fire destroyed the area in the 1800s, the people here built a shrine dedicated to Akiba in hopes of preventing future fires).
After i went to the Shin Godzilla statue, Imperial palace tha I had lunch at Ipoudo in Rappongi. Then walk town to the Tokyo tower and through the Shibakoen garden than back to the hostel and sleep.
DAY 5 – Friday 27.01.23

Woke up at 8 am went to Danny’s for breakfast and then took a train to Meiji Shrine Temple ( The highlight of visiting Yoyogi Park is the Meiji Shrine. It was built back in 1920 to honour Emperor Meiji. He passed away in 1920 after seeing Japan through a time of great change. It’s actually Emperor Meiji who is credited with opening the Land of the Rising Sun to the west). After I visited Yoyogi park and on the way I stopped by Cat Cafe Mocha Harajuku which it was an amazing experience. Then I went to take few other pictures at Shibuya crossing and I saw the Hachiko Memorial that I haven’t seen the other day. Than I went to pick up all my stuff in the hostel and I went to the train station to catch the train at 4:00 pm to Kyoto and I used the Shinkansen and at 6:12 pm arrived in Kyoto checked at the hostel and than went to sleep immediately.
DAY 6 – Saturday 28.01.23

I woke up early and I went to the McDonald’s to have breakfast breakfast than I took the bus to go to
Higashiyama Jisho-ji temple and from there I walked to the Philosopher Path I was very cold, than Heian Shrine but started to snow a bit so I went for lunch at Aburasoba Nekomata where I had a miso soup like usual. Than I went to visit Kiyomizu-dera than Fushimi Inari Taisha.
Than on the way back to the hostel I stopped at Kyo- Machiya Kyoto Shoji Kuon for dinner.
DAY 7 – Sunday 29.01.23

( Kinkaku-ji temple, Kyoto )
I woke up early and I went to visit the Imperial palace but was quite pricy so I didn’t get in I just visited from the outside. Than I went to Nikolai Castle one of 17 UNESCO Historic Monuments of Kyoto, Nijo Castle has several beautiful gardens and historical information within its giant fortified. than I went to the Nishiki market and while I was walking around I decided to try some real sushi in Japan so I stopped at
Ganko sushi it was very good. And than I decided to took the bus to visit Kinkaku-ji temple it was very impressive and I totally loved it. On the way back to the hostel I stopped at McDonald’s to have a quick dinner and than I went to sleep.
DAY 8 – Monday 30.01.23

Woke up early did a quick breakfast on the way to the bus and than I got dropped off at Togetsukyo Bridge and than I walk through the Bamboo forest than I went to visit the famous Toji temple but the weather wasn’t the best and than I had lunch in the same spot at a the first day at Aburasoba Nekomata where I had a miso soup like usual. Then I visited again Higashiyama Jisho-ji temple to take more pictures because today the weather was better and sunny. Later on I took the train to Osaka which I arrived at 7:30 pm. I went around Namba and Dotombori to buy a piece for my tripod and than I went to sleep.
DAY 9 – Tuesday 31.01.23

I woke up early to go to Nara park to meet the deer and visit the temple. After i stopped for a lunch at Genkishin and later I took the train back to visit Osaka Castle and after I walk back to the hostel exploring Osaka and surrounding.
DAY 10 – Wednesday 01.02.23

I woke up early I went for breakfast at Melbourne Caffee and then I took a walk around the two famous neighbourhood Umeda and Shinsaibashi wondering around and taking pictures till noon when I decided to go back to the hostel pick up my stuff and go to the airport. I went to Itami airport around 6 pm and my flight was at 21:15 pm to Hong Kong but once I arrived I realise that I was in the wrong airport I should’ve gone to the Kansai airport, I was panicking I check the map and was in the opposite side of the city so I lost it, and I had to book and extra night in Osaka and look at flights for the day after. I found a random cheap place in the direction of the airport so I booked a hostel and I went there to sleep it was very bad but at least was very cheap.
DAY 11 – Thursday 2.02.2023

I woke up at 10:30 am I slept pretty well and the night before I decided to not set any alarm so when I woke up I went out in the area where I was staying went to McDonald’s for breakfast and than went back to the hostel packed everything, like I paid for two night but it was too cold and I didn’t wanted to stay in Japan anymore so I just went to the Kansai airport at 2 pm, which it took me more than one hour by train. Everything was closed to I decided to sit somewhere and so my thing, writing and organising everything. Than when team of Peach opened the counter I went there to talk to the lady and see if I could change the flight for tonight instead of Friday night, after one hour the understood my problem and I could change while I change the tariff of the travel and upgrade it so I had the lugagge included and than at 7pm was possible leave the backpack and checked in than at 9:15 pm I left Japan with Peach airways and I landed in Hong Kong around 1 am and than I did all the controls and I arrived at the hostel at 3 am.
