India 2024

( Taj Mahal, Agra India ) 

Between Dubai and Africa  we had a week free so I didn’t really know where to go and wat to do. Initially I thought to go in Oman but then I wasn’t sure if I would be able to organize it and if I could since I had to do to do the presentation as well. Anyway then we choose india but it got all fucked up because I went back to Italy  and then we discovered that we had to apply for a visa and I applied on Friday and my flight was Sunday so I didn’t get the visa and the so I lost the flight and I had too buy a new one. All the visa situation was very inconvenient but I didn’t kept in mind that visa offices were close on the weekend so I lost my original flight unfortunately. Then I bought my flight for Wednesday 13th of November instead of the 10th. Besides the lost of money it work okay to the since we were able to swap day and Carmel she stayed few extra days in Dubai and on the 13th we met at the airport in New Delhi. 

The itinerary that we decided to do was this one: 

DAY 1 – Wednesday 13.11.24

( Ashgabat airport, Turkmenistan ) 

I stayed at home all morning a Cereseto preparing my backpack and on the garden with my aunties and the cats till 2 pm that my mum comes to pick me up and we went to the airport. I board the for ten flight at 5:30 pm with Turkmenistan airways to Ashgabat the flight went pretty well actually they give me food and drinks and finally landed in Ashgabat around 3 am due to the time zone. Once I got there I did all the controls and then I tried to print out the next boarding pass but was a bit hard so I went around the airport a bit and once I did it I just sit somewhere in the airport to sleep. There was no WiFi but there were plug at least. 

DAY 2 – Thursday 14.11.24

I woke up thanks to the alarm at 8:30 am and one of the guts told the the flight to India they were ready to board so I went quickly to the bathroom and then I board at 9:20 am. The flight went smooth quite short and by 1:30 pm I landed in New Delhi, did all the boarding controls and then I waited for Carmel at the luggage area to that she landed an hour later from Dubai. Once we meet we get out order a taxi and we went to the hotel to check in, take a shower after we had lunch at the restaurant of the hotel and then we went to sleep, I was very tired from the travel days. 

DAY 3 – Friday 15.11.24

Woke up at 8 am got ready and then we meet out tour guide/ driver Rincu outside of the hotel that come to pick us up at 9 am. The driver will take us  to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal via a 3/4 hour drive on the expressway. After arriving Agra check into the hotel, After Lunch we met the tour guide and we went to visit Tomb Baby Taj Mahal. It’s fascinating to see the architecture and the fine design on the walls of the tomb, around 20 minutes drive from your Hotel. In the evening visit Mehtab Bagh an exceptional sunset view of the Taj Mahal, which see the sunset was impossible due to the pollution and a bit foggy but still very nice. After we went to the hotel to sleep and for dinner we just got some room service. 

DAY 4 – Saturday 16.11.24

Woke up at 6 am quickly got ready and be on the car by 6:30 am on the way to visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise. The Taj Mahal is listed among the Seven Wonders of the World and is the emblem of eternal love. It was built in 1653 by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Constructed of white marble, this monument is among theUNESCO World Heritage Sites. After we went back to the Hotel had breakfast, check out and make your way to Agra Fort. This outstanding architectural example of the Mughal Empire dates back to 1080 AD. After sightseeing in Agra, you will drive to the pink city of Jaipur (5 hour drive). En route you may visit the Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. -Reach Jaipur by late evening. Check in to your hotel in Jaipur

DAY 5 – Sunday 17.11.24

We woke up at 7:30 am had breakfast in the hotel and then at 9 am we met the tour guide in the lobby and we left off to explore Amber Fort. On the way up we decided to do the elephant ride which it was quite cool since I never did it before and then we visit Amber Fort. On the way to the city we stoped at the Jal Mahal (water palace) to take few pictures and which is located in front of the hotel then we went for lunch. After we stopped in a textile shop showing how they used to make textiles in the past and the shop what they produce. 

Then we went to see the Hawa Mahal (wind palace) which u have a perfect view from one of the little coffee place in front of it so we stayed there to drink a masala chai and then we kept exploring the city  visiting  city palace, observatory (Jantar Mantar).  Then we did one more stop at the jewelry shop and to buy some clothes in a random shop and then they took us back to the hotel where we went immediately to sleep because we were very tired from the day. 

DAY 6 – Monday 18.11.24

Woke up at 7:30 am had breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast check out from Jaipur hotel Visit The Albert Hall Museum just from outside and then drive to New Delhi.  Which it took basically all day and we did just a little stop in a restaurant on the way. Around 4pm we arrived in New Delhi check in at the hotel chill/ nap and then we went downstairs to the restaurant of the hotel to have dinner and then sleep.

DAY 7 – Tuesday 19.11.24

Woke up at 7:30 am did breakfast in the hotel and then at 9 am we meet the driver that took us the the Visit  Jama Masjid mosque where we met the tour guide and we started the tour. Then we visited the local market with all the spices which it was very interesting and then we went to visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib (listen) is one of the most prominent Sikh gurdwaras, or Sikh house of worship, in Delhi, India, and known for its association with the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan, as well as the holy pond inside its complex, known as the “Sarovar. We stopped at the India Gate and then we went for lunch at Lazeez Affaire which it was very good and then we visited the  Humayun’s Tomb, resting place of the second Mughal King and for sunset as last stop the Lotus Temple. Then we went back to the hotel and we organized everything for the departure tomorrow and we did room service for dinner and after we went to sleep.

DAY 8 – Wednesday 20.11.24 

We woke up at 8:30 am had breakfast at the hotel, packed everything and then by 10:30 am we order and uber to go to the airport to catch the flight at 1:40 pm with Airindia to Jomo Kenyatta in Kenya.
