15 DAYS IN FLORIDA APRIL 2022

( South Miami Beach ) 

Miami, it was a long time that I was dreaming about it, I always wanted to go to Miami and Los Angeles and NY, also for work I thought I could’ve been a good opportunity so I decided to do it now that the pandemic seems over I just needed a COVID test to get into the States it was very easy. 

DAY 1 – Tuesday 12.04.22

( Flying with Copa Airways from Panama City to Miami International Airport )

I woke up at 8 am I did all the documents I was really nervous getting into America I thought they were giving me troubles at then border controls. I did breakfast at the hostel and I say bye to the German girl that I travel with from Bocas and than I ordered and Uber to the airport. My flight was at 11:58 pm I did a quick lunch at then airport and I called my mum and than I get into the plane. I landed at 16:00 pm and once I got in Miami airport the waiting time at the controls was crazy like I had to wait like two hours and than they didn’t ask me anything just the finger proving and the flight out of the country. I was very exhausted so I called an Uber to South Beach that the guy took me to the Hostel where I was staying Posh South Beach I did the check in and than I went straight to the beach to see the sunset and the little houses on the beach and than I went back to the hostel I order a Burger King burger and than I went to sleep. 

DAY 2 – Wednesday 13.04.22

I woke up at 8 am feeling the Miami vibes I decided to wear some make up and go out explore South Beach and went out for breakfast at FL Cafe , than I walked to Lincoln Road and I did a bit of shopping for work. Than I went back to the hostel stying at the pool chilling and swimming but I decided to go to the beach to explore and enjoying while take few picture, it was nice but well there were many sea plant so I walked a bit around the Ocean Drive and than I got an ice cream at Mammamia Gelato Italiano. Later on I went back to the hostel and I got ready to go out for a drink at Rosa Sky Rooftop in Brickell absolutely amazing a stunning few of the financial district in Miami, than I got an other Uber to the way back to the hostel and u went to sleep.

DAY 3 – Thursday 14.04.22

I woke up at 8:30 am I went to the pool I swim a bit and I relax than I decided to go out for lunch and I stopped by Sola Miami Beach it was a very nice and relaxing atmosphere I started to order Mimosa and suddenly I got very drunk actually so I couldn’t do anything after I just went back to the hostel to take a nap. Than around 6 pm I got ready to go to work at 8 I order and Uber to the Gold Rush I did a trial and the first night at work and I went back around 2 am I totally didn’t liked the club but it was an experience and when I arrived back to the Hostel I ordered some McDonald’s because I was very hungry after all night.

DAY 4 – Friday 15.04.22

( Ocean Drive, South Beach Miami ) 

I woke up at mid day it was raining really depressing weather I went out just next to the corner to get a slice of pizza like most of the past days and than I went to Lincoln Road again to do some shopping for my work and than I come back to the hostel to sleep I was very tired honestly and in the evening I just wanted to stay in my bed so I ordered some poke for dinner and than I kept sleeping all night till the day after ready to explore something of the city.

DAY 5 – Saturday 16.04.22

( Calle Ocho Little Havana, Miami ) 

I woke up at 8:30 am I got ready and I took the bus to go to Little Havana but first I stopped by the cuban memorial boulevard park and than I started to walk through the Little Havana which it was absolutely beautiful and interesting with all those Cuban little shops and I stopped by Azucar to get an ice cream in the most popular place and than I kept walking around and taking pictures. Later I went back to South Miami Beach where I got a slice of pizza in the same place Pizza Rusticate South Beach and I went to the beach to enjoy the sunny weather. After that I come back to the hostel I took a little nap and than I got ready to go to work by 9 pm at Eleven Club where I did the trial and worked for the night, I didn’t liked but at least I could have a bit of fun being back in the clubbing atmosphere.

DAY 6 – Sunday 17.04.22

( Easter evening at Area 31, Brickell Miami ) 

I woke up at 11 am very tired from the night before and I went at Front Porch Cafe for breakfast while I was calling my mum because is Easter, I felt a bit lonely celebrating an other year away from my family and alone but well I also enjoyed the freedom of sleeping all day and relaxing at the pool while at the evening to celebrate I decided to go the the Area 51 Brickell Rooftop bar to enjoy Easter while drinking a glass of wine and having a nice view of Miami. Than I called and Uber and I went back to the hostel to sleep.

DAY 7 – Monday 18.04.22

( Vizcaya Museum, Miami ) 

I woke up at 8 am and I took a bus and than a train to go to visit the Vizcaya Museum which is a bit out Miami but absolutely a nice location to realx and enjoy the day after Easter that in Italy by tradition is a day where u spend with friends cooking and eating together. Vizcaya it was absolutely beautiful I like it so much the gardens and the Palace all of it than I called an Uber and I went to Wynwood district which I knew that wasn’t my favourite but is very popular so I decided to take a walk around and explore it and entering in a random shop I discovered Rio Cam a really talented photographer that I liked a lot. After that I made my way back to the hostel taking the but first I stopped at Burger King to have lunch there and by 4 pm I got into the pool to swim and relax like my daily routine at the hostel and than I went to sleep pretty tired from the long day walking around .

DAY 8 – Tuesday 19.04.22

( Versace Mansion, Miami Beach ) 

Woke up at 9 am I went to the pool to swim a bit relax and organise the trip to the Bahamas and than I went to buy a slice of pizza to eat something and looking for a luggage which I couldn’t find it. That I got ready to go at Versace Mansion for lunch, I booked a table at 1:30 pm at Gianni’s Restaurant. It was an amazing lunch a bit to crowded actually but was nice, I did the lunch menu for 34$ drinks excluded. As an entree I totally loved it it was so beautiful better than the one in Gold Coast, Australia. After I went back to the hostel to relax a bit and by 6:30 pm I went to Bayside to take a boat to do a Celebrity Boat Tour around Miami, it was very interesting and seeing all those big mansion very surprising and also got a chance to se the sunset over Miami which it was very beautiful. Later on a took a walk through the market in Bayside and than the bus to come back to the Hostel to sleep.

DAY 9 – Wednesday 20.04.22

( Night at: NYAH Key West, Florida )

I woke up very early at 6:00 am to take the Flix bus at 6:50 am to go to Key West which is like four hours by bus. I got there around mid day and I went to the hostel to leave my luggage and than I chill and took few photos around and than I went out to explore the city and I rented a bike for the two days so I could go around easily exploring all Key West. I went to the beach at the Smathers Beach even if the weather wasn’t the best that day unfortunately a bit cloudy but I totally enjoyed the time at the beach where I stayed there till five and than I come back to the hostel check into the room, change and I went out to the other side to watch the sunset which it was absolutely incredible I totally enjoyed the scenario and the vibes with all the people sitting next to the sea watching the sunset, on the way back to the hostel I stopped by a pizza place to get a slice of pizza and than I went back to the hostel to sleep.

DAY 10 – Thursday 21.04.22

I woke up at 8 am did a breakfast at the hostel with my roommate and her friend she was very nice we chatted a bit the day before, she’s from Denmark. After breakfast I did the check out leaving my bags at the hostel and with the bike I went out to explore the Fort Zachary Taylor Beach Area. Than I went to the most southern point of America amd checked out an other beach Hidden beach but I didn’t liked so I went back to the one that I was before and I got something to eat, unfortunately the weather was getting worse a bit cloudy so I went back to the hostel get my things and than I went to take the bus at bus station of the Flixbus, at 6:15 pm and after fours hours I arrived in Miami south Beach.

DAY 11 – Friday 22.04.22

I woke up at 10 am I went to the pool to swim and relax like usual getting more tan day by day and than I took the bus to the fashion district of Miami where are all the bog brand shops and I got the chance to have break at the Fendi Cafe getting a Cappucino and a fruit salad pretty expensive but well it was my first time in a Fendi Caffee and I enjoyed it honestly. Later on I went back to Miami South Beach and the weather was a bit cloudy not the best so I took a little nap and than I got ready that at 8 pm my friend Indra that I met in Australia during the farm work comes to pick my up and we went for dinner at Lagniappe it was very nice to see her again after a long time and after all the things that happened during that two years of pandemic how she escape from Australia and got a chance to build a new life in America, it was very interesting and she told me also few thing about Miami and how the things are working there and than she brings be back to the hostel to sleep.

DAY 12 – Saturday 23.04.22

I woke up early in the morning and I went to the Ocean drive road to take few photos than I grab a slice of piazza in the same place and I went back to the hostel very tired and I chilled at the pool all noon and than for the sunset I walked to the other side of the peninsula to watch the student van it it wasn’t the best because was very cloudy that day unfortunately and than on the way back to the hostel I got a burger at Burger King. 

DAY 13 – Sunday 24.04.22

I woke up at 9 am and I decided to treat myself since I’ve seen almost everything in Miami I went for a nice America breakfast in a nice and relaxing place at the bar of The Tony Hotel South Beach it was very nice breakfast and I got a chance to drink almond milk which is something that was long time that I haven’t drink. Later I went back to the hostel I went to the pool to swim a bit like I’m doing it everyday, and than I got ready to visit the South Point of Miami Beach, it was a must and I haven’t had a chance before. I took the loop bus which is free and I went there took few photos and relax on a bunch and calling my friend Francesca that I haven’t herd news from her in two months and it was really nice. After I went back to the hostel and got ready to go out to drink something and I went to the Ritz Carlton of South Miami Beach. It was as usual very relaxing I could enjoy the vibes write and feeling the Miami vibes. Well I felt a bit guilty that I haven’t worked this weekend but well I really wanna enjoy life and treat myself after those two years that I’ve passed and all the things that I went through.

DAY 14 – Monday 25.04.22

( Night at: Posh South Becah, Miami )

Last day in Miami after two weeks well time flies but I’m happy to change two weeks it was enough but I’m happy that I’ve tried to work and stay there even if I chooses to keep travel and enjoy my life. Actually I could say that was the best choice just decide to travel but also after all I’ve been trough two weeks of chill and get myself comfortable in America was necessary. So I woke up and I went to the Ocean drive to take other pic around and while I was shooting I met a Brazilian girl that started to talked with me so we took few pics and than we says by because I had to go to do the Covid test near Lincoln road for the flight of tomorrow and than after I talked to her and I riches her at Nikki Beach which I also wanted to go there and we took few photos there while we were chatting and than we walked back passing by the sea it was a very nice afternoon so we decided to see each other as well for the evening and we went to drink something at the Mandarin Oriental in Brickell and than we eat a slice of pizza in south beach at the place where I used to go and than I went to sleep because I had the flight the day after.

DAY 15 – Tuesday 26.04.22

( On the Bahamasair plane to Nassau )

I woke up at 6:10 am, get ready pretty quick and did the checkout at the reception, the deposit they ll just send it directly to my bank account so I just left the key. I went to take the bus 150 to the airport which it was very fast actually no traffic and that’s surprised me honestly. Than once I got in the airport I took a little train that’s gonna take you inside of the airport and than I went to the counter G to do the check in fortunately the day before I did the covid test in Mimi Beach which it was free and than I did the Bahamas Travel Health Visa, which it cost 50$ and it was mandatory, after showing that docs I pay 25$ with Bahamas air for the backpack and than I went to the gate to wait the flight, I went there a bit too early I had to wait more than an hour because my flight was at 9:45 am but it was okay, and than I board on the plane. The flight was very short actually and a bit of turbulence. Once I landed I didn’t know what to do well I check the Uber and there is no Uber I checked the bus and so I went at the bus stop waiting for it under the sun for like half an hour and than a man stopped and ask me if I wanted a lift to my hostel and desperate i said yes and turned out that he’s really nice and he owns a tour company and the do the tours in Exuma Island so we exchange the contact and I was very thankful to him. Than i arrived at the hostel and unfortunately the bed wasn’t reserved because the booking processes didn’t went thru but fortunately they had a spare bad soni could check in and I put the swimsuit on and I immediately went to eat something because I was very starving from the travel. I stopped at Anthony’s Seafood and Ribs for a burger and than I walked till Cabagge becah where I relaxed and chilled there and I also meet Valentina a Colombin Canadian girls where we talk a bit and we drink a bit of coco water during the sunset well a bit before because then I walked back to the hostel before was dark and seems a bit dangerous that area walk around by night, and I went straight to sleep.
