Today, 27.01.2025, marks the official day of my move to Switzerland. The morning started with a cozy breakfast with my girlfriend, C, before we packed up everything and headed to Milan’s train station. At 12:43 PM, we boarded the train to Lugano, where we’ve booked a hotel for the next two weeks, until 10.02.2025. The uncertainty of what lies ahead is both exciting and a little daunting—I’m not sure what to expect or if I’ll land a job anytime soon. For now, though, the plan is simple: stay put, focus on sending out CVs, and embrace whatever comes next.

( out bedroom for one month, Lugano )
Monday we took the train from Milano Centrale to Paradiso. The journey was smooth, and I arrived in Paradiso in the afternoon. The rest of the day was spent relaxing and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the town. Tuesday I visited Migros, the well-known Swiss supermarket chain, to do some shopping. I picked up groceries for the week and spent some time exploring the store’s offerings, including fresh produce and local specialties. The rest of the day was relatively calm, allowing me to catch up on errands and sending Cv during afternoon and then before night I went to run by the lake. Wednesday I had an interview with a consulting firm. It was an exciting opportunity, and the interview focused on my skills and experience related to the consulting industry. I felt confident during the discussion, and I was hopeful about the outcome. In the afternoon, I spent some time reflecting on the interview and preparing for future opportunities. Thursday afternoon I did the interview at Blitz a language school. Friday morning I did an interview to cover a maternity leave in a dairy company and spent the rest of the noon sending Cv and we went out looking to subscribe to a gym. Saturday I spent time with Perla and Vincenzo, members of my circle, catching up and enjoying each other’s company. In the evening, I went to the gym for a workout. It was a great way to unwind after a busy week. Sunday I woke up with a headache, probably from the week’s activities and lack of sleep. Despite feeling under the weather, I went to the gym in the evening to try and clear my head and feel better. The workout helped me recover a bit, and I was ready to start the new week.

In the afternoon, I had an online interview for a company located in Milan, which went well and gave me a good sense of the opportunity. After the interview, I went with Carmel and we took some photos around the lake, enjoying the beautiful scenery and capturing some memories. Friday I woke up early, got ready, and took the bus and train to Mendrisio with Carmel. We went to Fox Town to meet Perla and to hand out some CVs at the outlet stores. It was a productive trip, and we made the most of the time. Afterward, we went back to our hotel in Paradiso for a relaxing lunch together and then during dinner we watched the two pope’s. Saturday I decided to stay home for the entire day and take it easy. It was a perfect opportunity to chill, relax, and unwind after a busy week and maybe fighting with Carmel. Sunday the day started off with rainy weather, which made it a bit harder to get motivated, but I still decided to head to the gym in the morning for a workout. The session helped me clear my mind and start the day with energy. Afterward, I spent some time sending out my CV to potential employers, trying to get ahead in my job search for the week.

In the afternoon, we caught a bus to Chinatown, where I had an interview scheduled at 4 p.m. The interview went well, and afterwards, we had some free time. We decided to visit Convento di Santa Maria delle Grazie, hoping to see The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, but sadly, the tickets were sold out, and we couldn’t get in. After that, I had a relaxing lunch at home before heading to Como. At 3 p.m., we caught the train to the beautiful lakeside city. Once in Como, we took a leisurely walk around the town, enjoying the scenery and the beautiful rings displayed in some of the local shops. We then stopped at Bar Krudo for an aperitif before heading to Bar Touring for an apericena, a mix of appetizers and drinks that was perfect for the afternoon. In the evening, we treated ourselves to a romantic dinner at Bistrot Muralto for San Valentino. The atmosphere was lovely, and the meal was delicious. Afterward, we rushed back to the train station and caught the train back to Lugano, feeling content after a beautiful day in Como. Saturday I spent the entire day at home, taking it easy. I didn’t go to the gym, and instead, Carmel and I had some tense moments, fighting over various things, which made the day a bit stressful. Still, we also had some moments to chill and reflect on everything. Sunday I started the day with a session at the gym, which helped me clear my head after a challenging Saturday. Later, I spent some time at home, organizing my photos and memories from the past week. In the evening, I relaxed by watching La Dolce Villa, a classic film, while enjoying a quiet dinner.
