Day 0 – Saturday 30.03.2019

I’m traveling to Thailand for 18 days with my friend Perla that I met during my exchange in Riga, and her friend Giada from high school.

We booked this flight almost one year ago when we were together in Riga, precisely when we were traveling to Oslo for a weekend break.

Our flight is at 13:05 MXP departure to Bangkok, with Airitaly.

We spent all the day on the plane, sleeping, eating and watching movies basically.

Day 1 – Sunday 31.03.2019

Landed in BKK at 7:25 am. Climb the luggage then make a SIM card in the airport, call grab ( the indochina app like Uber ) to our hotel.

Hotel check in, eat in the mall next to our hotel then sleep till 4 pm. Bath in the swimming pool of the hotel later on walk around our area, and eat in the market in the street then come back in the hotel and sleep early.

This actually was my worse day because e had some issue trying to take the money at the ATM, and in the noon while we were walking in the street before the dinner one ATM take my card, was almost dark and nobody help us, I was very tired and angry so unfortunately I can say that wasn’t a good beginning of the trip.

But fortunately my friends help me a lot to borrow me money, transfer and borrow me an other card for the following days in others country.

Day 2 – Monday 01.04.2019

Woke up at 6:00 am for watch the sunrise in our hotel, then breakfast with noodles in the mall next to our hotel like the day before.

Then we order Grad to go to visit the grand palace, 500baht the most expensive temple in BKK but absolutely worth it, it’s absolutely one of the best in Thailand, later we had the lunch on the way to the amulet market, and we walk till the Wat Arun temple, then Grab again and come back in the hotel to make us ready to go out, but first we chilled a bit in the pool.

Dinner again in the little market as the day before next to our hotel then for the sunset Vertigo sky bar but unfortunately for the traffic we couldn’t catch the sunset, but anyway is one of the best rooftop bar in the city but obviously expensive.

Then we walk in the red light district called Patpong and then we enter at the Dj Station a gay club for 300 baht ( two drink included ) live show at 23:00, transsexual performers, very cool club and good vibes, after we come back to the hotel to sleep.

Day 3 – Tuesday 02.04.2019

Woke up at 8:00 am, breakfast next to our hotel, we went in the …. train station we took the train around 11:00, only 15baht then when we arrive in Ayuttaya we rent a tuk tuk for 3 hours for 600 baht and we visit:

⁃ Wat Yai Chai Mongkol

⁃ Wat Phra Mahathat ( faccia nell’albero)

⁃ Wat Phra Si Sanphet ( tre “piramidi in prospettiva)

⁃ Viharn Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit ( tempio che pensavo fosse chiuso )

⁃ Wat Lokayasutharam ( Buddha gigante orizzontale )

⁃ Wat Chaiwatthanaram

We walked from the train station till the hotel then we grab some food and back in the hotel.

Day 4 – Wednesday 03.04.2019

Alarm at 4:30am direction Floating Market, from the southern bus stop, bus number 78 and we payed it 64 baht one way, we arrive the we did a tour of one hour in the canoa, but all the market were closed because was too early so the canoa driver bring us back to the bus stop we did the breakfast/ lunch and the we walk till the market again and we enjoyed the atmosphere while everything opened.

Around 11 we catch the bus to come back, we went in the hotel enjoyed the last time in the swimming pool the dinner in the same mall next to the hotel.

Don Muang airport at 4:30 pm too early we didn’t calculatated the time very well because our flight was at 8:25 pm to Chiang Mai, one of the worse flight of my life, a lot of turbolence.

Once we arrived in Ching Mai we did the check in the hotel and we went to sleep.

Day 5 – Thursday 04.04.2019

We woke up at 7:30 am, we did the breakfast in the hotel finally an American breakfast, then we catch a red opened “taxi” to visit the most famous temple in Chiang Mai, Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep later Wat Chiang man, Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang.

Hotel afternoon nap then at 8:00 pm we went to the Chiang Mai night bazaar, and we grab some food in the Ploen Ruede while there a live international band playing.

Then hotel sleep and make us ready for the following day.

Day 6 – Friday 05.04.2019

Woke up at 5:30, breakfast in the hotel and then the bus pass to pick up us to go to visit the elephant.

Later we come back home in the hotel, we pick up our luggages and we went to the bus station to go to Chiang Rai.

Once we arrive there unfortunately the bus was full for all the day till the next morning. So the only solution was take little car with others 4 people ( Brazilian and Dutch) absolutely uncomfortable and very very long way to Chiang Rai.

Once we arrived in the hotel we just went to sleep directly.

Day 7 – Saturday 06.04.2019

Wake up at 7:00, Golden triangle with our receptionist, then we took a little canoa to Laos we paid 30baht to enter there and then we come back to Thailand.

Once we arrived in the hotel we dress up for the temple and we went first at the Blue temple that we had the lunch in front of the temple, and then we went to the white temple.

Then hotel, Perla she was a bit sick so we have been out only me and Giada in the street market and in a square for dinner as usual Pahd Thai and beer.

Then sleep.

Day 8 – Sunday 07.04.2019

Wake up at 9:00 am, breakfast all together in the hotel, the with grab going to the airport waiting for our flight at 1:40 pm to Phuket.

We arrived after two hours then we took the taxi to the hotel, we went out for a lunch just somewhere next to our hotel, then we enjoyed the sunset in our hotel and later we went out in the Main Street for a walk and a smoothie, and then we come back to the hotel to sleep.

Day 9 – Monday 08.04.2019

Wake up at 6:00 breakfast in the hotel then go to the bus station terminal 2 to take the bus to Khao Lak at 8:10 am.

Once we arrived there we took the truck open to the hotel around 10:30. Then the check in it’s at 2 pm so we went to the Bang niang beach and later to the coconut and white beach.

Then sunset then and home, swimming pool relaxing and sleep.

Day 10 – Tuesday 09.04.2019

Wake up at 6:00 am, try to organize the day for visiting the Similan island but we couldn’t make because you have to reserve the tour at lest one day before, so we went to the tour agency just next to our hotel and we book the tour for the James Bond island.

The tour company pick up us, at the hotel at 8 am we drive by bus then we took the boat, to the James Bond island and the we did 40 minutes of canoeing, lunch and then Khao Lak national park waterfalls.

Hotel, sunset at Bang Ning beach then sleep.

Day 11 – Wednesday 10.04.2019

Wake up me and Giada at 5:30 am, walking to Bang Ning beach for the the sunset then breakfast, swimming in the swimming pool at 10:30 bus to Phuket.

The check in at the hostel backpack Penang, horrible absolutely but very great position, we went to the beach all noon till the sunset and then back for the shower and ready to go out. We eat in the street food and then sexy lesbian show at then tiger night club and iluzion for clubbing, and then back to the hostel to sleep.

Day 12 – Thursday 11.04.2019

Woke up at 5:30 am, to do the  Similan islands tour all day.

Then we go to the hostel, we relaxed a bit in the swimming and then sleep.

Day 13 – Friday 12.04.2019

Wake up at 7:00 am, 7:45 pick up from the hotel to the harbor of Phuket, direction Phi Phi islands.

Check in at Maiyada hotel, swimming pool, lunch in the burger restaurant next to the street. In the afternoon canoa to the monkey beach just me and Giada cause Perla feel sick. Then we went to the Hotel drink and we tryed to go out but there was nothing so we come back to the Hotel to sleep.

Day 14 – Saturday 13.04.2019

Wake up at 8:00 am breakfast buffet next to our hotel, then from the hotel goes to the Arida speed boat and start the tour.

After the tour hotel and sleep.

Day 15 – Sunday 14.04.2019

Wake up at 8:00 am, breakfast at McDonald’s few pics around the island then beach lunch at the bar next to the beach and at 2 pm boat to Phuket then airport.

Flight at 22:10 to Bangkok, once we arrived we called Uber check in the hotel and sleep.

Day 16- Monday 15.04.2019

Wake up at 8:30 breakfast, swimming pool party all together with music and drinks, lunch in the steet of the Hotel and celebrate new year in the street having fun and enjoing the Thilandese vibes, back to the hotel shower and get ready to the Sky bar and later dj station again, and then back home to sleep.

Day 17 – Tuesday 16.04.2019

Breakfast relax all morning, lunch again in the street and at 4 pm China town then boat tour later walk a bit in the street market and then hotel and sleep.

Day 18 – Wednesday 17.04.2019

( Night in Penang, Malaysia )

Wake up at 8:30 am the last breakfast together then pool take some pic, prepare everything, do the check out at 11:00 am then pool chill a bit again. After lunch all together in the Khao San road one of the main street in BKK just down of our hotel.

After lunch my friends they went to a massage center and I went in the souvenirs shops and then airport with grab all together, and this was one of the hardest time of the trip, time to say goodbye, they come back in Italy and me by myself I went to Malaysia.

At 19:30 pm was my departure to Penang.
